Lauren Elisabeth Anderson

Lauren Elisabeth Anderson was born in Corning, IA, on February 4, 1990, and died June 10, 2010 at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, NE, following a car accident.
Lauren graduated from Corning High School in 2008. While in school she was active in FCCLA and cheerleading, which was her passion. Lauren was also a member of the Carl Kings Queens 4-H club and especially enjoyed showing rabbits and doing communication projects. She was also an active member of the youth group at St. Patrick Catholic Church. In the summer of 2007 she traveled to Japan as an exchange student, which was one of her lifelong goals.
Following high school, Lauren attended Des Moines Area Community College and then the Independence College of Cosmetology in Missouri. She graduated from ICC in March and was scheduled to graduate from Hair Tech in Creston with her Iowa certification later this month. At the time of her death she was mentoring at Studio 406 in Corning, something she was truly enjoying.
Lauren made friends wherever she went and will always be remembered for her smile and her ability to laugh at herself. She was a great sister and adored all of her cousins. She’ll be remembered for her lifelong love of anything Barbie, her devotion to her dog Ollie, her passion for shoes, clothing and jewelry, and her knack for destroying cell phones and digital cameras.
Proceeding Lauren in death were her maternal grandparents, Roger DeAnna Blair.
Left to remember Lauren are her parents, Doug Lisa Allison of Corning and Fred Lori Anderson of Bondurant; grandparents Darrel Dailey Allison of Corning, Ted Jean Anderson of Independence, MO, and Larry Vi Engbers of Pella; great-grandmother Vada Calvin of Dawson, MN; her brothers, Joshua Anderson of Bondurant and Ryan Allison of Corning; her many aunts, uncles and cousins; two very special friends – Ryan Peckham of Corning and Scott Cullison of Ames; and many other friends.
