Levi attended rural school at Erie, Kansas and high school in Galesburg, Kansas graduating with the Class of 1939. He then attended Parsons Junior College in Parsons, Kansas.
Levi married Elizabeth Josephine Tatro at St. Josephs Catholic Church in South Mound, Kansas on July 21, 1949. Mr. Green was a lifelong farmer.
