Lloris D. James

Lloris Donella McFarling James, daughter of Ray and Minnie (Pierce)McFarling was born in Adams County on September 28, 1924. Lloris entered eternal rest on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at her home at the age of 82 years.
Lloris grew up in Douglas township near Carbon, attended country school and graduated from Villisca High School with the class of 1942 and also attended the Normal School for teachers. Lloris obtained a teachers certificate and taught school for four years.
On May 30, 1948, Lloris was united in marriage to Gerald James. To this union four children were born, Terry, Joanna, Jennifer and Joyce.
Lloris was a devoted mother and homemaker. Lloris also worked for numerous businesses, and was a active member of the Green Hills Produce and Crafts group of Adams County. She was a member of the UMW Wesleyan Circle, United Methodist Church and enjoyed quilting with the United Methodist church ladies.
Lloris is survived by her children: Son, Terry Leray, (Donna) James, Excelsior Springs, MO, Daughters, Joanna Lynn (Tom) Wengal, Alsip, IL, Jennifer (Denny) Moore, Corning, Joyce Stufflebeam, Adel, IA. Grandchildren; Kathryn James, Danielle Worthington, Justin, Jeffrey, Jordan, and Jade Stufflembeam. Great-grandchildren: Xavier Stufflebeam and Lillian Stufflebeam; Sisters-in-law; Helen Hagge and Irene James.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Gerald in 1982.
