Lois Burich

Lois Burich, the daughter of Ella Virginia (Keever) and John Allen Brown, was born on October 20, 1930, in Prescott, Iowa. Lois entered eternal rest on April 9, 2006, at her home in Creston, Iowa, at the age of seventy-five years, five months, and twenty-one days.
Lois was raised in Prescott and graduated from Prescott High School with the class of 1947. She then attended Creston Community College and earned an Associate Degree in Education. On October 14, 1950, she married Donald Albert Burich at Prescott, Iowa. Three daughters were born to bless this union.
Lois began her teaching career at Carl #7 Country School. Lois then started the first Kindergarten class in Prescott where she taught for several years. Later she taught as a substitute in the Creston Schools. Lois retired after twenty-five years of teaching.
Lois was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Creston, the United Methodist Women; and Spaulding Ladies Aide. She was a life-time member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary; and a Member of the Greater Community Hospital Auxiliary where she volunteered many hours.
Left to mourn Loiss passing are her husband: Donald Burich, Creston; her daughters: Linda (husband Craig) Coen, Oskaloosa, Iowa; Lana Zoch, Austin, Texas; and LeAnn (husband Harper) Mahan, Austin Texas; her sisters: Jean (husband Reldon) Cline, Corning; and Joan Beard, Altimont, Illinois; sister-in-law: Lula Brown, Prescott; four grandchildren: Mathew (wife Suzy) Coen, Alexis (husband Matthew) Faber, Daniel and Jeffrey Zoch; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Preceding Lois in death were her parents; two brothers: Kenny Brown and Bill Brown; one sister: Marie Klingensmith; and two brothers-in-law: Bill Klingensmith and Don Beard.
