Lyle G. Christensen

Lyle Gene Christensen was born to Florence (Largent) and Otto Christensen on November 7, 1930, in Guthrie Center, Iowa. Lyle entered eternal rest on December 12, 2005, at Creston Nursing and Rehab Center in Creston, Iowa, at the age of seventy-five years, one month, and four days.
On August 16, 1966, Lyle married Maxine Mary Caven at the Congregational Church in Creston. Lyle lived in Creston most of his life. He lived in Des Moines for 13 years and returned to Creston. He worked as a cook and baker at Bernings Cafe for many years. He also worked as a cook for several different restaurants in Des Moines. Lyle retired at age 65 in 1995.
Lyle was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Creston. Lyle attended the First Christian Church in Creston for many years.
Left to mourn Lyles passing are his wife: Maxine Christensen of Creston; his daughter: Nioma Carmichael, Des Moines; Two Grandchildren: Bobby Dewees, Reynolds, IA; Brenda Dewees, Des Moines; Five Great-Grandchildren: Damion Clement; Lindsey Dewees, Cory Dewees, Brandon Clement, D. J. Clement; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Preceding Lyle in death are his parents; and two sisters: Pauline and Fern
Inurnment will be held at a later date in Des Moines.
