Martha Diane John, the daughter of Guinivere Frances (Beard) and L. Donald John was born August 24, 1939 in Bedford, Iowa. Martha entered eternal rest on September 20, 2006 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital, Council Blufs, Iowa, at the age of sixty-seven years, twenty-seven days.
Martha was raised by her grandmother, Lillian Maloy Gilleland following the death of Marthas mother in 1947.
Martha worked for Innovative Industries as long as her health permitted. As her health declined she moved to the Corning Nursing and Rehab Center.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; beloved grandmother Lillian Gilleland; grandmother Girda John; brother-in-law, Dallas Hynnek; 3 uncles, Vearon “Pop” John, Albert John Gordon “X” Beard.
Martha is survived by her sister, Judy Hynnek, Corning, Iowa; nephew, Mark (Sarah) Hynnek, Corning, Iowa; Aunts, Ruth John, Bedford, Iowa, Alice John, Corning, Iowa, Velma Beard, Mt. Gilead, North Carolina; uncle, Joe (Agnesse) Beard, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 6 cousins, Mrs. Patricia Deaton, Mt. Gilead, North Carolina, Mrs. Harriett Harlow, Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Marion Everheart, Skidmore, Missouri, Mrs. Cathy Harvey, Carson, Iowa, Mr. Gary John, Warrenton, Virginia, and Mr. John (Charlotte) Maloy, Rochester, New York.
