Mary A. Kenfield

Mary Anna Kenfield was born on May 9, 1927, northeast of Prescott, Iowa to Rudolph and Gladys Faye (Coleman) Blazek. Mary entered into rest on July 18, 2008, at the Creston Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Creston, Iowa, at the age of eighty-one years, two months, and twelve days.
Mary attended rural school for eight years at Union #3 and graduated from Prescott High School in 1944. Following graduation, she was employed in Creston at F.W. Woolworth as a cashier and at Montgomery Ward and Creston Hardware, where she did office and sales work.
On September 13, 1951, Mary married Roy Robert Campbell of Orient. They were divorced in 1958.
Mary lived in Shenandoah, Iowa, where she was employed in the office of Montgomery Ward from 1960 until February 1962. She then moved to LaPorte, Indiana, and was employed as a payroll clerk by Coleman Company.
On November 10, 1962 Mary married Wayne B. Kenfield at LaPorte, Indiana. They resided in Gary, Indiana; Lombard, Illinois; Racine, Wisconsin; Miamisburg, Ohio; Sun Valley Lake, Iowa and their present home, Creston, Iowa.
Mary was a member of Crestons Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses.
Mary was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and visiting friends. She also enjoyed her years working as an interpreter for hearing-impaired students in the Creston and Afton School Districts.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her brother-in-law: Robert Brown; her sister-in-law: Margaret Blazek; and her niece: Patricia Blazek.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Wayne of 45 years; her sister: Daisy Brown, Corning; her brothers: John Blazek, Prescott, and Louis (wife Darlene) Blazek, Creston; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
