Mary Magdeline Dow, the daughter of John and Teresia (Swobodnik) Muschong, was born October 13, 1923, at Salem, Oregon. Mary entered eternal rest on September 10, 2008, at the Renown Medical Center Skilled Nursing in Reno, Nevada, at the age of eighty-four years, ten months, and twenty-nine days.
Mary graduated from High School in Chicago, Illinois. She married George Irle and they later divorced. George died at age 60 in 1991. In 1963, she married Rex Dow. Rex died in 1998. Mary lived in Chicago most of her life, moving to Creston, Iowa, in 1999.
Mary worked for the National Safety Council as a secretary for 35 years, retiring in 1986.
Left to cherish Marys memory are her children: William (Wendy) Irle, Chicago, IL; and Lenny Irle, Creston; Ten Grandchildren; Eight Great-Grandchildren; and One Great-Great Granddaughter.
Preceding Mary in death were her Parents; Husband, Rex in 1998; Ex-husband George in 1991; Two Sisters; One Brother; One Grandson; and One Granddaughter.
