Michael J. Mernaugh

No Visitation is planned. Inurnment will be at the Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Holy Spirit Parish and/or St. Malachy School.
Michael John Mernaugh was born to Helen (McIntyre) and J. D. “Don” Mernaugh on October 19, 1943, in Letcher, South Dakota. Michael entered eternal rest on November 11, 2006, at Greater Regional Medical Center, Creston, Iowa, at the age of sixty-three years and twenty-four days.
Michael lived in Union County most of his life. He attended St. Malachy School and Creston Public School. Michael farmed with his parents until his fathers death in 1986. He then worked as a caregiver and mowed Calvary Cemetery for a few years.
Michael was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and was an usher and eucharistic minister.
Michael was preceded in death by his father in 1986. Left to mourn Michaels passing are his mother: Helen Mernaugh, Creston; his aunts: Irma Larimer, Sioux Falls, SD; Frances Parr, Helena, MT; and Rosemary Marsh, Reliance, SD; and numerous cousins and friends.
