Nannette Elizabeth Manly, the daughter of Emma Caroline (Johnson) and Francis Fredolph McNuelty was born October 30, 1927 in Corning, Iowa. Nannette entered eternal rest on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital, Corning, Iowa at the age seventy-eight years, ten months and eleven days.
Nannette graduated from Corning High School with the class of 1943. On September 5, 1943 in Maryville, Missouri, Nannette McNuelty and Raymond Robert Reed were united in marriage, to this union three children were born; Bonnie, John and Fredrick. On October 31, 1998, Nannette and Louis Frank Manly were united in marriage.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Order of Eastern Star for 50 years and past Worthy Matron, former member of the Presbyterian Church in Corning, and former member of the Departmental Club. She worked at the Creamery as a cream tester and for many years for PM Place. Nannette was also a homemaker.
Nannette was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Raymond Reed in 1998; son, John Reed; one grandson, Nathan Birdsall; sister, Emma Pelmulder; niece, Christine Childs.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Manly, Corning, Iowa; daughter, Bonnie (husband Ed) Davidson, Corning, Iowa; son, Fredrick (wife Carol) Reed, Lincoln, Nebraska; daughter, Maria (husband Chuck) Lund, Corning, Iowa; sons, Arthur (wife Jan) Keefe, St. Louis, Missouri; Nick (wife Sherry) Keefe, Corning, Iowa; daughter, Joni (husband Tim) Birdsall of Arizona, 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, 1 great nephew, and other relatives and friends.
