Neal Morehouse

August 1, 1935 — October 11, 2010

Floyd Neal Morehouse, son of Floyd Wesley and Alyce France (Fox) Morehouse, was born August 1, 1935 in Hopkins, Missouri. Neal passed away October 11, 2010, at the Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston, Iowa at the age of seventy-five years.
Neal worked for the postal service for twenty-four years and also farmed many years north of Corning. Neal attended high school in Gravity, Iowa and was a graduate with the Class of 1953. Neal married Mary Lacy on May 28, 1955 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Corning, Iowa. Neal was considered the “Fix It Man” of the family. Neal’s passions in life were farming, spending time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish Neals’ memory is his wife, Mary of Corning; son, Ricky Neal (Maggie) Morehouse, Sr. of Atlantic; daughter, Christina Dimmler (significant other Larry Shaw) of Corning; grandchildren: Joleen (Nick) Drake, Jamie (Jason) McManis of Corning, Ricky (Robin) Morehouse, Jr. of Atlantic, Jackie Riepe of Corning, Corinna Morehouse of Prescott; step-grandchildren: Jerith Shaw and Derek Shaw of Corning, Brian Bloomfield, Sean Bloomfield (significant other Amanda) and Danielle Bloomfield all of Atlantic; seven great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandson; sisters: Joan Guinn of Mesa, AZ and Lois Hall of Joplin, MO.
Preceding Neal in death were his parents and a great-grandson, Ricky Morehouse III.
