Neta Russell

Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Neta Russell was born to Freda (Welborn) and Leonard Chase on October 15, 1927, at Maquoketa, Iowa. Neta entered eternal rest on August 10, 2006, at Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston, Iowa, at the age of seventy-eight years, nine months, and twenty-seven days.
Neta graduated from Maquoketa High School. On January 3, 1947, she married George Henry Russell at Colfax, Iowa. Neta lived in Shannon City for fifty years, until moving to Creston eight years ago. Neta was a homemaker. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary; she was actively involved in the Rebecca Lodge; and she was active in 4-H when her children were young.
Left to mourn Netas passing are her Son: Ted Russell, Creston; her Daughter: Georgia (Alan) Cooper, Summerfield, FL; and One Grandson: James Graham, Waterloo, IA.
Preceding Neta in death were her parents and her husband George in 1999.
