Ora Rex James

O. Rex James, age 83, Logansport, passed away at 1:35 a.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2015, in Chase Center.
Born Thursday, November 5, 1931, in Corning, Iowa, he was the son of Milton Perry and Buena Elizabeth Sage James.
On August 7, 1950, in Kellerton, Iowa, he was married to Sandra Gee, who survives, in Logansport. They were married for 32 years.
Rex graduated as valedictorian of Kellerton (Iowa) High School in 1948, and received a degree from the Midwestern School of Evangelism in Ottumwa, Iowa. Later he became a registered nurse, earning a degree from Indiana University – Kokomo. He had been employed as a nurse at the Logansport State Hospital.
Rex was a member of the Logansport Church of Christ.
Surviving are sons, Lyman (Dianne) James, Tampa, FL, Dennis James, Scottsdale, Arizona and Stanley James, Tampa; a daughter, Marcia (Alvin) Miller, Swisher, IA; brother, Robert James, Council Bluffs, IA; and sister, Lois Meyer, Ottumwa, IA.
A brother, Leon James, preceded him in death.
