Patrick Allen Connelly

Patrick Allen Connelly, the son of Leo William and Darlene Janon Martha (Schmidt-Smith) Connelly, was born on July 20, 1958, in Creston, Iowa. Patrick entered eternal rest on February 27, 2011, at Harlingen Memorial Hospital, Harlingen, Texas, at the age of fifty-two years.
Patrick graduated from East Union High School with the Class of 1976. He also graduated from Lincoln Tech (Automotive) in Des Moines. Patrick served in the United States Army.
Patrick worked at Wellman Dynamics in Creston; Osceola Foods in Osceola; and Jimmy Dean in Osceola. He worked at Mahle in Winterset making automotive filters for all makes of vehicles for at least two years. About a year ago, he moved to Harlingen, Texas and worked for Tyco Flow Control. Patrick sponsored different Youth Sports in Harlingen. He loved Nascar Racing and was a Pittsburgh Steeler fan. He enjoyed hunting and gardening.
Left to cherish Patricks memory are his children: Melissa (Trinity) Arnold, Oskaloosa; Joshua Allen Connelly, Winterset; Justin Patrick (Leah) Connelly, Winterset; and Melinda (Rick) Arnold, Oskaloosa; his five grandchildren: Alex, Jackson, Ethin, Silas and Wyatt; his mother: Darlene Connelly, Lorimor; his six brothers: Joe Connelly, Creston; Paul (Liz) Connelly, Missouri; Kevin Connelly, Lorimor; John (Nancy) Connelly, Afton; Dan (Darcy) Connelly, Wadena, Iowa; James Connelly, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; his five sisters: Cheryl Aeschliman, Winterset; Janet Connelly, Marshalltown; Amy (Scott) Wehrli, Ogden, Iowa; Beth (Cora) Connelly, Sioux Falls, SD; and Patricia (Felix) Cortez, Denison, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; the mother of his children: Sandra Connelly, Oskaloosa; and close friends: Estella Hinson, Harlingen, Texas; Shirley Langille, Oskaloosa; and Judy Strzelecki, Winterset.
Preceding Patrick in death are his father, Leo Connelly; his sister, Diane Trostheim; his uncle, Monsignor Paul Connelly; his sister-in-law, Vicki Connelly; his brother-in-law, Joe Aeschliman; and two great-nephews: Khade and Leo Nelson.
