Paul James Emhoff was born to Stella Mae (Treanor) and William Joseph Emhoff on January 6, 1920 in Lincoln Township, Union County, Iowa. He was born in the cabin that is now located at the historical site at McKinley Park in Creston, Iowa. Paul entered eternal rest on July 2, 2005, at the age of eighty-five years, five months and twenty-seven days.
Paul attended Lincoln #6 School which is also now located at the historical site at McKinley Park. On August 2, 1941 he married Beatrice Marie Wollensack at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Afton, Iowa.
Paul lived most of his life in Union County, He was a farmer. While in Omaha, Nebraska, he also worked as a carpenter, constructing new buildings. He later returned to Union County to the farm. Paul retired in 1979 and moved to Creston.
Paul was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and a former member of the Knights of Columbus.
Left to mourn Pauls passing are his wife: Beatrice Emhoff of Creston; his brother-in-law: Earl Ritter of Bloomfield, Iowa; and his sister-in-law: Beverly Emhoff of Colorado Springs, Colorado; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Preceding Paul in death were his parents; a daughter, Carol Ann, who died in infancy; three brothers: Francis, Joe and Harold Emhoff; three sisters: Mary Decker, Maxine Emhoff, and Helen Ritter
