Peggy Freemyer

Peggy Ann Freemyer, the daughter of Forest Lee and Vera Pearl (Vroman) Foster, was born in Canova, South Dakota on January 9, 1933. Peggy passed away in Omaha, Nebraska on January 22, 2016, at the age of eighty-three years.
Peggy graduated from Creston High School with the class of 1951. Peggy married Gene J. Freemyer on July 25, 1952, and they were married 54 years.
Peggy worked as a telephone operator prior to the birth of her children. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, genealogy, flower gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Peggy participated in a number of organizations over her lifetime, but especially enjoyed feeding Prescott High School basketball girls before a game.
Peggy is survived by her children: Kristi (Steve) Perry, Gretna, NE; and Tammy (Mark) Haynes, Cave Springs, AR; grandchildren: Heidi (Dave) Clark, Claire (Charles) Cunningham, and Jacob Haynes. She is also survived by the delight of her heart, 5 great grandchildren: Rebecca and Matthew Clark, Maddox Haynes, and Hannah and Benjamin Cunningham. Peggy has two surviving sisters-in-laws: Connie (Rex) Spainhower and Sue Freemyer, as well as other family and friends.
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Gene J. Freemyer; her daughter, Rebecca A. Freemyer; and other extended family.
