Phyllis Cooper

Phyllis Bonnie Cooper, the daughter of Ralph Harry and Bonnie Irene (Antisdel) Blazek, was born on October 4, 1938, near Williamson in Adams County, Iowa. Phyllis entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 26, 2011, at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital, Corning, Iowa, at the age of seventy-three years, one month and twenty-two days.
Phyllis graduated from Prescott High School with the Class of 1956. After graduation, Phyllis worked in Des Moines at Bankers Trust in the Proof and Transit Department for two years (in 1957 and 1958). On June 1, 1958, Phyllis married Ralph Blake Cooper in Carl, Iowa. They moved to their current farm in the Spring of 1959 and have resided there ever since.
Phyllis was a farm wife and homemaker. She was a member of the Prescott United Church, where she served as Treasurer for many years. Phyllis was a member of the Harmony Circle Card Club, the Prescott Quilters, and was active in other church and community activities. She was a former 4-H leader and active in PTA when her kids were younger.
Left to cherish Phyllis memory are her husband, Blake Cooper, Prescott; her son, Randy (Holly) Cooper, Prescott; her daughter, Jill (Chris) Bemis, North Las Vegas, Nevada; her daughter-in-law, Janet (husband Nick) Meisenheimer, Greenfield; her grandchildren: Justin (Laura) Cooper; Josh Cooper; Noah Cooper; and Gavin Meisenheimer; her great-grandchildren: Emma and Carson Cooper; her brother, Dallas (Philis) Blazek, Missouri Valley, Iowa; her sister, Patsy Blazek, Clive, Iowa; her special cousin, Gary Wallace, Omaha, Nebraska; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Phyllis in death were her parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Orval and Cleone Cooper; her daughter, Joni Cooper; and her son, Kirk Cooper.
