Phyllis Kathryn Johnston, the daughter of John and Clara (Wahl) Senteney, was born on August 29, 1917, at Cody, Nebraska. Phyllis entered eternal rest on April 27, 2008, at the Lenox Care Center, Lenox, Iowa, at the age of ninety years, seven months, and thirty days.
Phyllis lived in Utah, Arizona, Nebraska and Iowa through the years. Phyllis lived in Lenox a short time and lived in Creston for several years. Phyllis worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years while living in Utah, Arizona and Iowa. Phyllis loved to play cards, dance and play dominoes. Pitch was her favorite card game.
Left to cherish Phylliss memory are her Son: Ron (wife Marlene) Darling, Clearfield, IA; Adopted Son: Billy DeBoer, Missouri; Six Granddaughters: Renee Jackson, Brenda Lopez, Annette Weldon, Coreen Covarrubias, Ronda Rojas, Bernadette Kennedy; Nineteen Great-Grandchildren; Many Great-Great-Grandchildren; her Brother: Bob (wife Irma) Senteney, Omaha, Nebraska; her Sister-in-Law: Grace Weese, Orient, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Phyllis in death were her Parents; First Husband, Frank Darling; Second Husband, “Sonny” Johnston in May, 2002; and Son: Boyd Erickson.
