Robert Bob Smith

Robert Donald Smith, son of Donald Fredrick and Geneva Lorine (Harlan) Smith, was born on July 28, 1956 in Corning, Iowa. Robert passed away at his home in Carbon, Iowa on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the age of fifty-seven years, one month and six days.
When Bob was able he worked as a mechanic at the Rival Factory in Missouri making crock pots, helped a few local farmers and liked to help his friends whenever he could lend a hand.
Bob loved to go fishing and he enjoyed playing any card game, especially canasta.
Bob lived in Adams County most of his life and his relationships with his nieces and nephews were very special to him.
Left to cherish Bob’s memory is his brother, Sam Smith of Greenfield, Iowa; brother, Ron (Teresa) Smith of Wiota, Iowa; sister, May (John) Land of Afton, Iowa; brother, Gary Smith of Carbon, Iowa; brother, Tom Smith of Carbon, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; and aunt, Linda Haley of Corning, Iowa.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and niece, Cynthia Smith.
