Robert J. Mack

Robert John Mack, the son of Isabelle (Curry) and Lewis B. Mack was born September 30, 1921 in rural Adams County, Iowa. Robert entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 17, 2005 at Israel House in Ames, Iowa at the age of eighty-four years, two months and nineteen days.
He joined the United States Army in 1942 and served for three and a half years during World War II.
On August 19, 1952, at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Corning, Iowa, Patricia Ann Johns and Robert John Mack were united in marriage, to this union three children were born; Josetta, Tony and Anne.
He was owner and operator of Mack Trucking and owned a farm in Adams County. Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, V.F.W., Happy Hollow Country Club, and a founding member of the Adams County Speedway.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pat; infant daughter, Josetta Mack; brothers, Joseph Mack and Ray Mack.
Survivors include his children: Son, Tony (wife Patty) Mack of Ogden, Iowa; daughter, Anne (husband Tom) Russell of Apopka, Florida;, seven grandchildren: Ryan Mack, Aaron Mack, Jenny Mack, Timothy Mack, Jonathan Mack, Alisha Russell, and Lauren Russell; brother Francis (wife Phyllis) Mack of Corning, Iowa; sister Mary (husband John) Lenz of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Joan Mack-Gephardt, Mission, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
