Robert L. Sapp

January 15, 1940 — October 29, 2005

Robert Lee Sapp, son of Robert R. Sapp and Lula Mae (McDonald) Sapp was born January 15, 1940, Creston. He graduated from Creston High School in 1958. He attended DeVry Technical Institute of Chicago where he studied electronics.
He married Marilyn Shinkle on September 3, 1960, in Papillion, NE. They lived in Creston where he worked as an engineers aid for the Union County Engineers Office. They moved to Lexington, Nebraska, in 1974, to work for Reach Electronics. In 1975, they moved to Des Moines to work for the Beams Company as a sales representative and he attended Des Moines Area Community College. Later he worked for Florida Wire and Cable. In 1990, they moved back to Creston. His health started failing in 1995 forcing him to retire.
He was a member of the Des Moines Consistory and the Za-Ga-Zig Shrine. He was also a member of the Creston Masonic Lodge and the Amateur Radio Club. He was also a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife Marilyn, son Marty of Creston, granddaughter Cassie, and great-granddaughter Alexa; Brother-in-Law: Don of Casper, Wyoming; and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
