Roberta Kessler

Roberta Marie Kessler was born to Frances Marie (Volkmer) and Robert Kail on January 1, 1915, at Bayard, Iowa. Roberta entered eternal rest on July 25, 2005, at Greater Community Hospital in Creston, Iowa, at the age of ninety years, six months, and twenty-four days.
Roberta lived near Martensdale and Norwalk until her marriage. Roberta attended Lynn-Grove School in Norwalk. On January 22, 1959, she married Warren William Kessler at Martensdale Community Church in Martensdale, Iowa. Roberta was a farm wife and a homemaker and has lived in Union County since 1959.
Roberta enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. She loved to can food items when she was able.
Left to mourn Robertas passing are her son: Donald Kessler, Shannon City; sister: Leona Hoyka, West Des Moines; sisters-in-law: Betty Kail, Indianola; Pearl Mullin, Creston; May Carlisle, Creston; Frances Kessler, Creston; Edna Priest, Creston; Helen Hamilton, Willow Springs, Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Preceding Roberta in death were her parents; husband Warren on October 20, 2002; Brothers: Ernie Kail and Leo Kail; and Sister: Helen Santo.
