Ronnie Lee Ray, was born in Creston, Iowa on September 1, 1952, to Eldon Eugene and Shirley Jane (Clark) Ray. Ron was raised and educated in Creston and lived his entire life in Creston. At the age of 17, Ron was united in marriage to Dora Lee Bolinger in Maryville, Missouri. Three children were born to bless their union: Ronnie, Shawn and Dorie. Ron worked hard all of his life to provide for his family. Dora worked right beside Ron for more than 35 years providing Handy-Man services as part of Ron & Dora’s Handyman Service. Over the course of his life, Ron never met a stranger and was a “jack of all trades”. He especially loved providing work which required him to use his tractor. Ron also loved playing his guitar and spending time with his kids and grandchildren.

Preceding Ron in death were his parents; 3 brothers: Don, Eldon and Steve; a sister, Kay Johannes; and a great-granddaughter, Ariana Holle.

Left to mourn Ron’s passing is his devoted wife of 51 years, Dora Ray of Creston; his children: Ronnie (wife Crystal) Ray of Creston; Shawn (husband Matt) Lillie of Prescott, Iowa and Dorie (husband John) Shiltz of Creston; his 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; brothers: Jim and Richard Ray, both of Creston; his sisters: JoAnn Medill and Pat Marquardt, both of Eugene, Oregon; and by his numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends. Ron will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
