Rosalie Pesik

June 10, 1924 — June 5, 2011

Rosalie A. Pesik, the daughter of Anthony Joseph and Anna (Tomann) Pesik, was born on June 10, 1924, in Spaulding Township in Union County, Iowa. Rosalie entered eternal rest on June 5, 2011, at Crest Haven Care Centre, in Creston, Iowa, at the age of eighty-six years, eleven months, and twenty-six days.
Rosalie lived in the Creston/Union County area her entire life. She was a homemaker and very active on the family farm. Rosalie raised chickens, sold eggs, and used the chicken feathers to make pillows and gave them as gifts.
Rosalie was a lifelong member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The Pesik family were instrumental in the founding of Immaculate Conception Parish. Rosalie volunteered many hours in helping St. Malachy School and received the Spirit of St. Malachy Award in May, 2006. She was a member of the MYN card club.
Left to cherish Rosalies memory is her sister, Irene Pesik. Preceding Rosalie in death were her parents; and eight brothers and sisters: Sylvester, Alfred, Paul, and Ed Pesik; Magdelene, Albena, and Frances Pesik; and one infant brother.
Memorials may be directed to Calvary Cemetery and/or St. Malachy School.
