Ruby Dudley

Ruby Vera Dudley was born to Otta Elizabeth (Orfield) and William H. Hailey on November 30, 1911, near Thayer, in Union County, Iowa. Ruby entered eternal rest on July 12, 2005, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of ninety-three years, seven months, and fourteen days.
Ruby was married to Roy Bullock for many years and they were blessed with three children. They later divorced. On April 10, 1947, she married William Leonard Dudley in Mexico, Montgomery County, Missouri, and they were blessed with one child.
Ruby lived in the Creston area since 1947 and was a dog breeder. Ruby raised champion pekingese and had over 150 pekingese champions. She shipped the dogs to be shown all over the world. Ruby is the #l Pekingese Breeder of Champion Pekingese in the United States. She raised them in her own kennels from home (Dud-Lees Pekingese Kennels).
Ruby was a long-time member of the American Kennel Club and Iowa Kennel Club; Pekingese Breeders Association; Judged other Pekingese all over the United States; Life-time member of the United Methodist Church in Creston; Active in the United Methodist Women for many years. Ruby was known throughout the community.
Left to mourn Rubys passing are her Husband: William Dudley, Creston; Daughter: Evelyn Delaney, Sacramento, CA; Son: Robert (wife Ruth) Bullock, Owattana, MN; Daughter: Rita (husband Robert) Frey, Afton, Iowa; her Sister-In-Law: Delma Hailey, Indianola, Iowa; Thirteen Grandchildren; Twenty-six Great-Grandchildren; Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Preceding Ruby in death were her Parents: Son: Leland Bullock; Two Brothers: Lloyd Hailey and Bert Hailey; Three Sisters: Ethel LeGuerrier, Gladys Brooks, and Inez Neff
