Sharon Freihage

August 14, 1954 — December 9, 2020

Sharon Marie (Brownrigg) Freihage, 66 of Creston, passed away at her home Wednesday, December 9, 2020. Graveside services will be 10 AM, Monday, December 14, 2020 at Graceland Cemetery, Creston, IA. Father Adam Westphal will officiate. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Creston Animal Rescue Effort. Pearson Family Funeral Service & Cremation Center, 809 W. Sharon was born on August 14, 1954 to Leroy “Bud” Brownrigg and Emma Geraldine “Jerry” Brownrigg. In 1971, Sharon was united in marriage to Rick Foote, to this union two children were born: Jamie and Brandi. They couple later divorced. Later, Sharon married Gail Freihage in 1988 and to this union Sharon gained a daughter, Allison Ann. Sharon worked as a veterinary assistant for many years in Afton. She had a tremendous love for all animals. Sharon also raised several different animals in her fife time. Her latest being Golden Retrievers. No one will ever forget the two monkeys in her life, George and Willy, also a special bird name Ty. Sharon also worked at C.A.R.E. in Afton for a few years and her love for the clients there was unconditional.

Left to cherish Sharon’s memory is her husband Gail Freihage; her son, Jamie Foote of Prescott, IA; and granddaughter, Jersey Foote; her daughter, Brandi (Jerome Snell) of Creston; and granddaughter: Bailey (Dylan) Cunningham and great-grandson, Randy Cunningham; granddaughters, Alleigh and Sydney Hoffman; Sisters: Gloria (Joe) Wright of Urbandale, IA, Linda Bailey of Clearfield, IA and Angie (Mark) Vicker of Creston, IA; sister-in-law, Sandee Brownrigg of Creston, IA; brother, Randy (Sandy) Brownrigg of Beaverdale, IA; brothers-in-law: Howard Freihage of Des Moines, IA and Lyle (Marsha) of AL; sisters-in-law: Toots of Omaha, NE, Shirley (Fred) of Cedar Rapids, IA and Linda (Bruce) of CO; several nieces and nephews, along with many lifetime friends.

Sharon is preceded in death by her daughter, Allison Freihage; her parents, Bud and Jerry Brownrigg; brother, Gary Brownrigg; grandparents: Grace and James Mullin and Bill and Dorothy Brownrigg; several aunts and uncles; mother and father-in-law, Lerna and Willy Freihage; sister-in-law, Emma Jean; brothers-in-law: Wayne and Dean; sister-in-law, Sandy Freihage.
