Sharon met David Max Johns and they were united in marriage on February 8, 1959. While their children were young, Sharon was a homemaker; then she worked for Purolator and Bunnomatic. Sharon and David lived in Texas for several years and returned to live in Creston in 1988. Sharon was a Dietary Aide at Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston and retired from the hospital in 2006.
Together the couple spent time together at flea markets, watching stock car races, gardening, and camping.
