Sherry Dishaw

Sherry Ann Dishaw, the daughter of Rose C. (Willich) and Richard Beix was born March 20, 1942 at Burlington, Wisconsin. Sherry entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 6, 2007 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital, Corning, Iowa, at the age of sixty-five years, one month and sixteen days.
She graduated from Burlington, Wisconsin High School. Sherry received some nursing training and worked as a nurse for a short time. After receiving her certification to be an airline stewardess in Dallas, Texas she worked for Braniff International Airlines, mainly serving the Central and South America areas.
Sherry was married at the age of 24, later divorced. She met Darwin Bergantzel in 1972, he was her life-long companion. Sherry lived in Corning for the last 14 years (1993), she formerly resided in Portage, Wisconsin; also lived in Phoenix, Arizona; Omaha, Nebraska; Council Bluffs, Iowa and Marietta, Georgia. She conducted her own Bible studies with her companion and others; enjoyed going on nature walks; thru her deep devotion to God, she brought many, many people to love and serve the Lord, she was a prayer warrior; loved being in nature; was a drum majorette in high school.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and aunts and uncles.
Sherry is survived by her life-long companion: Darwin Bergantzel of Lenox, Iowa; son: Rob Dishaw and wife Theresa of Green Bay, Wisconsin; one grandson: Brandon Dishaw of Green Bay, Wisconsin; brother: William “Bill” Beix and wife Carole of Portage, Wisconsin; sister: Kathleen Kirton and husband Donald of Kokomo, Indiana; and aunt: Rena Bluett of Racine, Wisconsin.
