Steve Holcomb, 71, of Knoxville formerly of Creston, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at MercyOne Medical Center in West Des Moines. No services are planned. Burial will be at a later date in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Afton. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Memories and condolences can be left at www.pearsonfuneralhomes.com.

Steve Lewis Holcomb, the son of Clifford Oval and Thelma Francis (Riker) Holcomb, was born on September 21, 1950 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He attended school in Mount Ayr. Steve worked many years for Local Union #177. He lived most of his life in Creston and for the past five years, he resided in Knoxville. He enjoyed old cars and motorcycles.

Left to cherish Steve’s memory are his daughters, Karen Leonard and husband Ronny of Creston and Cassy Holcomb of Creston; five grandchildren: Ashley Kibbe, Rosie Leonard, Willow Leonard, Brian Holcomb and Jasetta Miller; three great grandchildren: Jaden Conley, Jayleigh Hinds and Amara Kibbe; brothers, Bill Holcomb of Des Moines and Britt Holcomb and wife Vanessa of Indiana; sisters, Karen Musser and husband Brian of Omaha, Nebraska and Naomi Burke of Omaha; along with many other relatives and friends.

Preceding Steve in death was his special friend, Sandra Bunting; grandson, Christopher Holcomb; parents, Clifford and Thelma; grandparents, Steve and Mary Holcomb and brother-in-law, Mike Burke.
