Travis Michael Aaran Henry, son of Michael Henry and Michelle Foland, was born on Saturday, September 17, 1994. Travis entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at his home in Creston, Iowa at the age of fifteen years, six months and seven days.
Travis attended Creston schools and was currently a freshman at Creston High School. At age three, Travis was enrolled in tumbling and dance lessons at Leslies Dance Emporium and continued until the age of ten. Travis loved all kinds of sports as well, participating in baseball through the 6th grade, soccer, junior high and freshman football. He was also a member of the Panther Express Youth and Creston High School Wrestling Teams. Travis looked forward to physical education class where he could lift weights and mixed martial arts training. Travis was a baptized and confirmed member of Salem Lutheran Church and was very active in youth group activities. Travis loved traveling to Disneyland, Chicago, Cape May, New Jersey and many other places. He enjoyed roller coasters and was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan.
Travis brought joy and laughter with his sense of humor to so many. One of his nicknames was Mr. Giggles.
Left to cherish Travis memory is his mother, Michelle Foland; father and step-mother: Michael and Maureen Henry, all of Creston, Iowa; brother, Zachary Henry of Denison, Iowa; sister, Keirstan Henry of Creston, Iowa; step-sister, Christine (Tom) Von Dorn of Papillion, Nebraska; step-brother, David (Heather) Simmons of Tuscumbia, Alabama; grandparents: Linda Permann Larry Hanon of Tipton, Iowa and Roberta Ann Henry of Creston, Iowa; step-grandfather, Ronald Hazard of Creston, Iowa; cousins: Joshua and Nick Henry of Creston, Iowa, Brock Elmore of Belleville, Illinois, Laura Thomas of Maryville, Missouri; aunts and uncles: Chuck Bert Henry of Creston, Iowa, Sheila Elmore of Belleville, Illinois, Suzanne (Gary) Waddell of Henderson, Nevada, Michael Permann of Grimes, Iowa; nieces and a nephew and special family: Harry Christine Shaw of Cape May, New Jersey.
Travis was preceded in death by his grandfathers: David Henry and Neil Permann; aunt, Linda Henry and step-grandmother, Joan Hazard.
