Troy Moore, 60 of Creston, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2020 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines, IA. No services are planned. Pearson Family Funeral Service & Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements. Memories and condolences may be left online at www.pearsonfuneralhomes.com.

Troy Lee Moore, the son of Troy Lee Moore, Sr. and Marsha Jean (Bravo), was born in Blythe, California on May 14, 1960. Troy was educated in California and as an adult, he began a long career as a Truck Driver. He drove a truck over the road, from coast to coast, mainly hauling hazardous materials. Over the years, he lived in Missouri and Arizona for several years. Troy has lived in Creston, IA the last 36 years. When he wasn’t driving his truck, Troy operated Freedom Motor Sports in Creston, repairing motorcycles. In 2017, he was hired to drive a truck for the United States Postal Service to deliver mail to Iowa Post Offices. Shortly thereafter, declining health made it so he could no longer work.

Troy’s hobbies included riding his motorcycle and enjoyed going camping. He was an avid fisherman and very involved with his family. He made regular phone calls to his siblings each day to check on them and see how they were doing. He participated in Narcotics Anonymous and was proud to be 10 years clean and sober.

Preceding Troy in death was his daughter, Kali Moore; his parents and a brother, Kenny Moore.

Troy is survived by his estranged son, Troy Lee Bruce, whose whereabouts are unknown; He is also survived by 2 brothers: David Moore (Lacey) of Des Moines, IA and Tony Brogdon of Derby, Kansas; 3 sisters: Lisa Wilson (Doug) of Creston, Marilyn Romero (Mike) of Wittmann, Arizona and Lynda Van Wie (Greg) of Las Vegas, Nevada; “Mom” Bonnie Moore of Van Buren, Missouri; sister-in-law, Mimi Moore of Wittmann, Arizona; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
