Vesper Sackett

Vesper Kaye Sackett, the daughter of Howard Everett and Veda Ruth (Clark) Sackett, was born on the Oak Park Turkey Farm, October 2, 1939, near Greenfield in Adair County, Iowa. Vesper entered eternal rest on March 2, 2007, at her home in Creston, Iowa, at the age of sixty-seven years, five months, and one day.
Vesper grew up in the Zion area where she attended school. Vesper graduated from Zion High School with the Class of 1957. Following her marriage on October 3, 1957, to Ronald “Ronnie” Dean Nauman, Vesper and Ronald moved to Creston. Vesper worked as a care provider for Southwest Iowa Residential Facility (SIRF) in Creston for thirty years, working with the mentally and physically handicapped. She also worked at the Eagles for several years.
Vesper was a member of the Eagles Womens Auxiliary. Vesper was an avid Bingo player, driving to Lenox to play every Wednesday evening.
Left to mourn Vespers passing are her children: Rhonda Nauman, Prescott; Renee (Curt) Ripperger, Ankeny; Deanna (Gerald) Kons, Clive; Craig Nauman, Kent; Tonya (Mike) Miller, Creston; and Darrin (JoAnn) Nauman, St. Marys, Iowa; Nineteen Grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren. Vesper is also survived by her brother, Virgil (Louise) Sackett, Des Moines; her four sisters: Luene Westrum, Longmont, CO; LaRee (Donald) Berry, Creston; Joanne Sackett, Adel; Karen Pugh, Des Moines; a Sister-in-law, Betty Sackett of Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Preceding Vesper in death were her Parents; Husband, Ronnie in 1999; her Son, Trent Nauman in 2004; One Brother, Jay Sackett; and four Sisters: Margaret Stront; Wanda Hild; Shirley Fulton; and Lorraine Fry.
