Vicki Connelly

Vicki Lynn Connelly, the daughter of Otto and Gladys Opal (Tindle) Bird, was born on December 29, 1952, in Creston, Iowa. Vicki entered eternal rest on September 18, 2010, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of fifty-seven years.
Vicki lived all her life in Creston. On September 26, 1970, she married Joseph William Connelly in Afton, Iowa. Vicki worked for Gits Manufacturing for thirty-five years, working as a welder and machine operator for a majority of those years.
Vicki was a member of the U.A.W. Union for many years. Vicki loved to be outside tending to her flower gardens and working in her yard; and over the years, she canned vegetables and made salsa. Vicki liked to play Bingo; she loved her Maltese dog, Bobo; and most of all, she loved to spend time with her grandsons.
Left to cherish Vickis memory are her husband, Joe Connelly, Creston; her daughters: Shawn Connelly, Creston; and Heather (husband Brad) Scarberry, Creston; her two grandsons: Clayton Joseph and Cason Bradley of Creston; her brothers: Ronnie (wife Patty) Bird, Creston; and Rick Bird, Anamosa, Iowa; her sisters-in-law: Frances Bird, Missouri, and Cheryl Bird, Creston; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Vicki in death were her parents; five brothers: Otto Jr., Jerry, Larry, Danny and Donnie Bird; and one sister: Betty Davis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Vickis name for a scholarship, to be determined.
