Virginia Seals

Virginia Seals, 67, of Creston, died Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. Memorial Services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday April 7, 2011, at Pearson Family Funeral Service, 809 W. Montgomery St., Creston. Rev. Thomas Woodin will officiate. Virginia Rose Seals, the daughter of Hollis Elliott and Hazel Gladys (Franke) Moore, was born on June 4, 1944 in Thayer, Iowa. Virginia graduated from East Union High School in Afton. On January 17, 1962, she married Gary Seals in Union County, Iowa. Gary passed away January 22, 1995. Virginia has lived in Creston for over forty years. She worked in the Business Administration office at Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston for over thirty years, retiring five years ago at the age of sixty-two.
Virginia liked NASCAR and traveling to Las Vegas. She also liked to play cards (Solitaire and Texas Hold Em) and listening to music. Virginia enjoyed making contributions for Veterans and getting together with her friends.
Left to cherish Virginia’s memory is her son, Dennis Seals, Knob Noster, MO; Four grandchildren, Erika Seals, Garrett Seals, Andrea Seals, and Andrew Seals; her brother, Chet Moore, Underwood, IA; her sister, Norma Thompson, Troy, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Virginia in death were her parents; her husband Gary in 1995; and her son, Michael Seals in 2011.
