Wayne Brown

Burial will be at the Oakland Cemetery in Adams County with Military Honors by the Ourcq Post #117 Corning American Legion. Memorials may be given in Waynes name.
Roland Wayne Brown, the son of Roland William and Helen Laura (Moore) Brown, was born January 10, 1936 at the home of his parents, near Carbon, in Adams County, Iowa. Wayne entered eternal rest, at his home, Thursday, November 22, 2007 at the age of 71 years, 10 months and 13 days.
Wayne grew up in Adams County, attended Corning High School and graduated with the Class of 1953. In 1957, Wayne entered the United States Marine Corps. and was stationed at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, California until his discharge in 1961. Following his return home, Wayne began farming on the family farm and farmed his whole life. In 1966, Wayne was employed by Union Carbide in Red Oak, Iowa and worked as Janitor. Wayne retired from Union Carbide in 1995 as a Cramic Operator. During his retirement years, Wayne helped Jim Hatton put up Fencing and also helped Jeff Yearington at his small engine shop.
On December 23, 1972, Wayne married Deloris Marlene Kinser in Red Oak, Iowa. Four children were born to bless this union: Deborah, Teresa, Patricia and Joseph. Wayne was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Corning and was a long-time member of the Farm Bureau.
Left to cherish Waynes memory is his loving wife of nearly 36 years, Deloris of Corning; his children: Deborah Hart of Atlantic, IA, Teresa Gregerson of San Francisco, CA, Patricia Van Meter of Ames, IA and Joseph (wife Angela) Brown of Mazeppa, MN; his Father-in Law, L.E. Kinser of Red Oak, IA; three grandsons: Keenan, Kyle and Seth and one great-granddaughter, Jasmine; also his sister, Judith (husband James) Hartmann of St. Paul, MN.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and by his mother-in-law, Ina Lucille Kinser.
