Wayne Weight

Wayne Vernon Weight, the son of H. Vernon Weight and Wava Jean (Curtis) (Weight) Pierce, was born on September 29, 1949, in Hamburg, Iowa. Wayne entered eternal rest on March 31, 2011, at Trinity Center Luther Park, in Des Moines, Iowa, at the age of sixty-one years, six months, and two days.
Wayne graduated from Sidney High School with the Class of 1967. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Northwest Missouri State University, Maryville, Missouri; he received his law degree from Creighton University; and his Master Law Degree from Georgetown. Wayne served in the Army National Guard from 1971 until 1978.
Wayne married Susan Carole Wright on May 17, 1971, at Glenwood, Iowa. Wayne lived in Omaha, NE; Atlanta, GA; Kansas City, MO; Dallas, TX; and in the Washington D.C. area for twelve years. Wayne and Susan moved to Creston in 2007.
Wayne was an attorney for the FDIC and spent the majority of his professional career working for the government. Prior to that Wayne had a private practice in Omaha for about a year. Waynes hobbies included photography and traveling. Wayne traveled to forty-eight different states, Ireland, Scotland, England, Canada, and Mexico.
Left to cherish Waynes memory are his wife: Susan Weight, Creston; his son: Brian (Stephanie) Wallace, Creston; his daughter: Rachelle Weight and husband James Anniss, Omaha, NE; his two grandchildren: Breanna Wallace, and Brodie Wallace; his mother: Wava Pierce and stepfather, Code Pierce, Sidney, IA; his brothers: Rodney Weight (Mary Richards), Glenwood, IA; and Monte Pierce, Sidney, IA; his sister: Brenda (Dennis) Almquist, Sidney, IA; his aunts: Donna Ball, Glenwood, IA; Donna Pierce, Shenandoah, IA; and Colleen Pierce, Malvern, IA; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Preceding Wayne in death was his father, H. Vernon Weight.
