William “Bill” Thomas Brownrigg, the son of William E. and Dorothy I. (Looney) Brownrigg, was born on July 30, 1933 at the home of his parents, near Cromwell, in Union County, Iowa. Bill entered eternal rest on September 23, 2013 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa at the age of eighty years, one month and twenty-four days.

Bill began farming with his father for a few years, then moved to Michigan and began working as a traveling salesman for Stauffer Chemical Company. He returned to Union County in 1971, lived in Creston, and worked on his parents’ farm due to his father’s ill health. Bill moved to the farm in 1982. Bill began working for Mel McKie as a federal crop adjuster, retiring after twenty years. In January, 1987, he married Virginia Moore in Mexico. Bill was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
