Wilma L. Cruise

Wilma L. Cruise was born to Irene B. (Rakow) and Delbert L. Hill on October 28, 1925, in Orchard, Nebraska. Wilma entered eternal rest on January 18, 2006, at Creston Nursing and Rehab in Creston, Iowa at the age of eighty years, two months, and twenty-three days.
Wilma graduated from ONeill High School with the class of 1943. She attended Omaha Business School for one year. On September 10, 1944, Wilma married Dr. John W. Cruise, DDS at St. Cecilias Cathedral, Omaha, Nebraska.
After her marriage, Wilma moved to St. Louis, MO, where her husband completed dental school. They moved to Creston in 1949. Wilma was a homemaker and bookkeeper for her husbands dental office.
Wilma was a member of the Altar Society; Catholic Daughters of America; and the Crestmoor Golf Club.
Left to mourn Wilmas passing are her children: Tony Cruise (wife Kay), Omaha, NE; Kate Coen (husband Mike), Creston; Mick Cruise, Dubuque; Julee Cruise (husband Edward Grinnan), New York, NY; her sister: Twila Wurtz, Sioux City, IA; Five Grandchildren: Jennifer Coen; Brian (wife Katie) Coen; John Coen (fiancee Jacque Berens); Michelle (husband Kevin) Lee; Jean Cruise; Four Great-Grandchildren: John Rourke, Benjamin Lee, James Lee, and Jack Coen; Nephews: Steve Mattas, Kentucky; Dave Mattas, Omaha, NE; Larry Wurtz, Minnesota; and Nieces: Maureen Mattas, Lincoln, NE; Molly Nancy, Lincoln, NE; Diane (husband Robert) Carley, Omaha, NE.
Preceding Wilma in death were her parents; Husband, Jack in 1980; Grand-daughter: Jill Marie Coen in 1986; and nephews: Dwayne, John, and Marty Mattas.
