Ann Booth Grau, the daughter of David Roosevelt and Lucille Opal (Booth) Littell, was born November 29, 1936 in Kinross, Iowa. Her parents were both school teachers and moved to several towns during her childhood. Her father became a Superintendent of Schools in Anita and Villisca. One of Ann’s good friends in Villisca was Martha (Darnell) Linn. Ann met Thomas Grau Sr., in Manning, Iowa and married him on November 13, 1954, in Sioux City, Iowa. They lived on a farm in Audubon County (established in 1887) for many years until moving to town in Manning, Iowa. Ann was a dedicated farm wife and homemaker raising 7 children on the farm.
Ann moved to Corning, Iowa, 4 years ago to live with her son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Andrea Grau. She later moved to Corning Specialty Care. Ann will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to Cherish Ann’s memory are her children: Barb (Steve) Page of Manning, Iowa; Dean Grau of Manning, Iowa; Tom (Sammai) Grau of Dallas, Texas; Bob (Andrea) Grau of Corning, Iowa; Nancy Anheier (significant other, Marc Spindler) of Acworth, Georgia; Steve (Sheri) Grau of Bondurant, Iowa; brother, Roger Littell of Kingman, Arizona; 18 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Preceding Ann in death were her husband, Thomas in 2014; son, Lester Grau; and her parents.
