Beverly Ann Braymen, the daughter of Harold J. and Esther Marie (Nothwehr) Otte, was born on February 1, 1940 at Clarinda, Iowa. Bev entered eternal rest on December 16, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa at the age of seventy-four years, ten months, and fifteen days.
Bev attended Clarinda Public Schools and graduated from Clarinda High School with the Class of 1958. Bev worked for Iowa Power and Light in Clarinda before her marriage to Tom Braymen. The couple was married on June 10, 1962 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Page County, Iowa. This marriage was blessed with two daughters. Bev and Tom made their home in Shenandoah.
The family relocated to Creston in 1967 where Bev was a stay at home mom while her children were young. She then worked one year for the Farm Service Agency (ASCS) and worked more than twenty years for Farm Credit Service of America. Bev retired at age sixty-two.
Bev was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. She also volunteered at Greater Regional Medical Center; served on the Board of Directors at Regency; and was a member of the Chautauqua Reading Club. Bev participated in several Women’s Bridge Clubs and quilted with the Quilting Club at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Left to cherish Bev’s memory are her husband: Tom Braymen, Creston; her daughter: Lisa (Dave) Carter, West Des Moines; her grandchildren: Gabe Carter and Jessica Carter; her sister-in-law: Diana Otte, Stockton, CA; her brother-in-law: William (Shirley) Braymen, Coin, IA; her nephews: Michael (Cathy) Otte, Stockton, CA; Russell (Deitra) Braymen, Coin, IA; Glenn (Tammy) Braymen, Shenandoah; and Walter (Shanna) Braymen, Shenandoah, IA.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents; her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Mayme and William Braymen; her daughter: Julie Braymen; and two brothers: Donald and Eugene Otte.
