Bruce Edward Peterson

Bruce Edward Peterson, son of Leonard Ulysses and Wanda Isabella (Walker) Peterson, was born on January 2, 1952 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Bruce was raised in a military family and moved often during his youth. He attended elementary school in both Abilene, TX and Salina, KS and middle/ high school in Scottsdale, AZ. Bruce graduated with the class of 1970 from Coronado High School in Scottsdale, AZ.
Bruce married Colleen Marie Werner on September 12, 1985 in Phoenix, AZ. One daughter, Katherine, was born to bless this union.
Bruce worked as an apprentice gunsmith during his early years and later became owner of Old Glory Gun Shop in Phoenix, Arizona. He then started North Line Valley Service in Phoenix, AZ, a Document Service which he ran until he moved to Iowa in 2005. Bruce retired in 2006.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents , oldest brother, James and mother-in-law, Katherine Werner.
Left to cherish Bruce’s memory are his wife: Colleen, Earlham, IA; daughter: Katherine Peterson (fiancé, Tyler Shield), Earlham, IA; granddaughter: Savannah Peterson; brother: John (Cheryl) Peterson, Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-law: Lola Peterson, Tempe, AZ; father-in-law: Fred Werner, Urbandale, IA; three nephews, a niece and many friends.
