Clifford Leroy Anderson, the son of Elmer G. and Alice May (Foster) Anderson, was born in Creston, Iowa on October 1, 1924. He graduated from Creston High School with the class of 1942. Clifford worked various construction jobs when he was younger and then worked for Singer Sewing Machine and the Gambles Store. In 1950, Clifford married Pearlie McNichols and they had four children: Elizabeth, Dean, Tom and Lori. The couple later divorced and Clifford moved to Osceola. He worked in the maintenance department at Wellman Dynamics for 10 years. Clifford moved to Mountain Home, AR, for several years and returned to Osceola in 1985 where he worked for Saylor Realty as a maintenance man until his retirement. He later moved to Creston where he resided at Regency. Clifford has been with his loving companion, Martha Haberling for the past 18 years.
Clifford was an avid fisherman and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed watching football on TV and old western shows. He bowled on various bowling leagues for several years.
Preceding Clifford in death were his parents and an infant brother.
Left to cherish his memory are his four children: Elizabeth (Glen) Sievers, Urbandale, IA, Dean Anderson, New Windsor, IL, Tom (Connie) Anderson, Owensboro, KY, Lori (Bob) Westcott, Creston, IA; Life Companion, Martha Haberling, Creston, IA; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and brother, Kenneth Anderson of California.
