Thelma Coleen Hill, the daughter of Irvin and Velma (Campbell) Inman, was born on January 20, 1937 in Adams County, near Quincy, Iowa. Coleen passed away Friday, August 29, 2014, at the Corning Nursing Rehab Center, Corning, Iowa. Coleen attended elementary and middle school in Brooks and Mt. Etna, and high school in Corning. On March 26, 1954, Coleen was united in marriage to Lloyd Dean Hill at the Mt. Etna Methodist Church. Four Children were born to bless this union: Jackie, Beckie, Denny and David. Coleen was a homemaker, devoting her life to taking care of her family. Coleen was a resident of Adams County all of her life.
Coleen enjoyed drawing and painting, when her health allowed, and was fond of horses. Coleen loved to watch movies, especially those with Elvis, John Wayne and Kevin Costner. She attended the Strand Lutheran Church and the Mt. Etna Methodist Church, as she was always strong in her faith. Coleen had a nice smile and was a good listener when a friend or family member needed someone to talk to.
Left to cherish Coleen’s memory are her daughters: Jackie Butcher of Corning, Beckie Butcher of Corning; a Son, Denny (Peggy) Hill, of Corning; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; Coleen is also survived by her brother, Leland ( Ella Mae) Inman, of Corning; and many other friends and relatives.
Coleen was preceded in death by her husband in 2001; her Parents; her son, David Hill; a son-in-law, Dennis Butcher, and former daughter-in-law, Vicki Hill.
