Doris Williamson was born to Nina Belle (Arthur) and John Edgar Gardner on January 16, 1924, in Siam, Taylor County, Iowa. Doris entered eternal rest on August 24, 2005, at her home in Creston, Iowa, at the age of eighty-one years, seven months, and nine days.
Doris was married to Wayne Kirkpatrick, Wayne Harrison, Ivan Wiley, and James Lowell Williamson. Doris and Lowell were married December 12, 1956, in Savannah, Missouri.
Doris lived in Creston since 1969. She previously lived in Adams County at Williamson, Iowa. Doris and Lowell owned and operated the local cab company from 1969 to 2002. Doris was a member of the First Christian Church and she was a foster mother to many.
Left to mourn Doris passing are her children: Ed (wife Judy) Kirkpatrick, Laguna Niguel, California; Jean Harrison, Omaha, Nebraska: JoAnne (husband Tim) Bishop, Creston; Joe (wife Lisa) Williamson, Creston; Jolene (husband Skip) Hartje, Takoma, WA; JaNelle (husband Phil) Lovely, Greenfield, Iowa: Julie (husband Dean) Robertson, Creston; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother: Eldon “Boots” Gardner, Creston; her sisters: Betty Cooper, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Klina (Jack) Thompson, Creston; Brother-in-law: Bob Strange, Diagonal, Iowa; sister-in-law: Wilma “Mert” Gardner, Lake Elsinor, California; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Preceding Doris in death were her Parents; Husbands, Wayne Kirkpatrick, Wayne Harrison, Ivan Wiley, and Lowell Williamson on Nov. 5, 1991; two sons, John Harrison and Jim Wiley; Brother: Lloyde “Cotton” Gardner; Sisters: Polly McCauley; Gladys Strange; and Peg Porter.
