Eric Allen Hill

Eric Allen Hill was born December 30, 1954 in Creston, IA. Everyone that has encountered Eric will always remember his infectious smile. He spent many years working at East Union High School and Southwestern Community College, where the faculty, staff, and students became not just colleagues and acquaintances, but grew to be true family and friends. His smile and laughter will forever echo in the memory of every life he touched. After a brave fight with cancer, on July 5, 2013, this amazing man passed away.
Preceding him in death are his grandparents, father Harold Ellis Hill, father-in-law Russell Berdine, brother-in-law Terry Berdine, and Uncle Marion Hess.
Survivors include a loving wife Cindy, married March 22, 1975, daughters Shawna Rook (Lance) of Sanborn, IA, Jenny Hill Kittrell (Jeff) of Omaha, NE, and grandkids Lane, Lucas, and Audrey Rook and Adelyn Kittrell. Mother-in-law Donna Berdine of Creston, IA, mother Pauline Sweet (Dennis) of Shannon City, IA, sisters Carol Ricker of Des Moines, IA and Diane Richardson of Omaha, NE. Aunt Arlene Scherer of Des Moines, IA, who was there at my many surgeries, sister-in-laws Jacki Gibbons (David) of Murray, IA and Jerri Kilpatrick Decker (Curt) of Afton, IA, and many amazing nephews, nieces, cousins and an abundance of friends.
Services will be held at Southwestern Community College Performing Arts Center in Creston, IA on July 13, 2013 at 2 pm. Memorial contributions may be sent directly to the family at 807 Flagship Circle, Creston, IA.
