Her career in education began as a teacher in Decatur and Mount Prospect, Illinois. She then became a counselor at Eisenhower High School where she met Wallace Wirth, her husband of 58 years. From this union, the Wirth’s had 2 sons, Charles Wirth of Fenton, Michigan and Todd Wirth and daughter-in-law, Fatimah Wirth of Georgetown, Texas.
Jane would spend the rest of her professional life working as a school psychologist serving the needs of children in the Chicagoland area and Las Vegas, NV.
