Ilene Maeder

A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the Parish Center. Interment will be at the Greenfield Cemetery at 3:00 PM Saturday. Memorial contributions may be directed to Alegent Health Mercy Hospital and/or St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Rosella Ilene Maeder, the daughter of Joseph Tolbert and Julia Ann (Waters) Maeder, was born on March 19, 1916, near Massena, in Cass County, Iowa. Ilene entered eternal rest on November 19, 2008, at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital, Corning, Iowa, at the age of ninety-two years, eight months, and two days.
Ilene lived in Corning most of her life. She graduated from Corning High School. Ilene was a nurse aide and a surgery technician and she began working at the Rosary Hospital in Corning when it was built. Ilene worked at the hospital a total of 52 years. Ilene also volunteered her time working at the St. Patricks Thrift Shop. Ilene was an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Left to cherish Ilenes memory is her brother, Vern Maeder, Creston; her sisters: Alice Lents, Greenfield; Bertha Kembery, Creston; Mary Ann Johnson, Creston; Two sisters-in-law: Veronica and Betty Maeder; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and the Gauthier Family, who was very special to her.
Preceding Ilene in death were her Parents; Three Brothers: Bert, Jack, and Earl Maeder; Three Brothers-in-Law: Melvin Lents; Maurice Kembery, and Richard Johnson; Sister-in-Law: Barbara Maeder; a niece, Angela, and a nephew, Michael Maeder, in infancy; and two nephews: Russell Johnson and Robert Lents.
