Jason Bearden

Jason Glenn Bearden, age 56, passed away at his home in Greenfield, Iowa, on Saturday, May 9, 2026. A former resident of Creston, Jason was born on May 8th, 1970, to the late Lana Sue Bearden and Allen Elmer Bearden. Jason graduated from Creston High School in 1988 where he played basketball and football. He went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Buena Vista University through the Southwestern Community College (SWCC) program. An avid sports fan, Jason spent many weekends rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and the Iowa Hawkeyes. He was very close to his mother and loved playing and spending time with his dogs. Jason was preceded in death by his parents and his uncle, Craig Blazek. He is remembered by his son, Alex; his sister, Stephanie; and his extended family.

A private graveside service for his family was held in Graceland Cemetery, Creston, Iowa. Pearson Family Funeral Service & Cremation Center was in charge of the arrangements. Condolences can be shared online at www.pearsonfuneralhomes.com.
