John David Linch, 84, Creston, Iowa passed away on September 10, 2026.
John was born in Ottumwa, Iowa on May 1, 1942 to John Richard and Evelyn (Fletcher) Linch. He graduated from Ottumwa Senior High in 1960. While working for Time Loan in Washington, Iowa, John met Linda Wasson at the State Café. They were married on November 5, 1966. To this union were born two sons, John Richard and Michael.
John was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patty Fisher.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda; his two sons, John (Deb) and Mike (Raquel); his grandchildren, Emily (Zack) Hackbarth, Jacob (Carrie) Linch, Lydia (Ben) Carlson, Dylan Linch and Brittany Linch; one great grandson, Charlie Hackbarth; his sister, Cindy McKinny and many nieces and nephews.
