Joyce A. Lytle, 74, of Creston, Iowa, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Unity Point Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. No services are planned and the family requests no Memorials.
Joyce Arlene Lytle, the daughter of Elmer Arthur and Mary Elizabeth (Negus) Claussen, was born February 24, 1947 in Davenport, Iowa. She was welcomed into the family by an older brother, Ron and a sister, Mary Kay. Joyce was raised and educated in the Davenport area and lived there most of her life. As an adult, Joyce worked in factories for General Foods, Hormel, ConAgra and Oscar Meyer for a total of 15 years.
Joyce was united in marriage in Davenport, Iowa on June 12, 1980 in to John Dean Lytle. The couple relocated to Creston, Iowa in 1986. In Creston, Joyce worked for Palm Clothing and a short time at Bunn. Joyce worked part-time all of her adult life performing maintenance in apartment complexes and rental houses both in Davenport and Creston. She also enjoyed refinishing wood work and house painting.
Preceding Joyce in death was her sister, Mary Kay Johnson and her parents.
Left to mourn her passing is her husband, John Lytle of Creston; 5 children: Todd Endorf of Creston; Beth (husband Jim) McCollum of Columbia, South Carolina; Bret (wife Marissa) Lytle of Las Vegas, Nevada; Ryan Lytle of California and Sonya (husband William) Todd of Temple, Texas; Joyce is also survived by 10 grandchildren and her brother, Ron Claussen of Reno, Nevada.
